The Dixie Wing Living History Squad

Dixie Wing Living History Squad

The Dixie Wing Living History Squad is made up of Dixie Wing members who represent the heroes of the Greatest Generation.  The purpose of this group it to enhance the learning experience of the general public when coming in contact with the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.

The group does this by participating in historical reenactments, museum displays, parades honoring our military heritage, and joining various organizations in patriotic events.

The premier event for this group is the annual Dixie Wing WWII Heritage Days celebration.  This is centered on the Dixie Wing Historical Air Power Facility located at Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Ga.  With the help of various reenactment groups, museums, and educational displays along with battle reenactments, they introduce those in attendance to a taste of the WWII era.
